SYSO TRAVEL TEAM TRYOUTS
All age eligible Shelton residents are invited to tryout for the SYSO travel soccer program for the Fall 2010/Spring 2011 season. There are openings in all age brackets on both the girls and boys teams. In addition, there are multiple teams in many age brackets.Travel Soccer is an opportunity for players to play at a more competitive level and represent SYSO and the City of Shelton against other communities. Due to the higher level of competition, U11 and above players must tryout to earn a roster spot. Players at U10 level and below must tryout for proper skill sets assessment.
Full seasonal year fee for each player which includes both the Fall 10 and Spring 11 season is $450 if paid at the initial registration. If paid in installments, first installment of $250 due at registration and a second $250 due by Sept 1st, 2010. U15 and up players pay $225 for the Spring season only. Uniform fees are additional. Teams placed in the premier bracket will incur an additional fee of $50 per player. For more information, travel policies and FAQ’s regarding the travel program go to www.sysonet.org.
If you are interested in having your child participate in tryouts please have your child attend at least one (both are recommended) tryout session scheduled for his/her age bracket. All candidates must bring the following to the first session:
1. REGISTRATION FORM- All NEW and RETURNING players MUST register by June 3rd, 2010. For mail-in registrations, the form must be POSTMARKED on or before June 3rd. Those registering online MUST register on or before June 3rd, 2010. Those registrations NOT received by June 3rd will incur a $25 late fee.
Late Fee Revised: No late fee will be charged unless registration is made after the first day of tryouts for the age bracket the player is eligible. i.e. U9/U11 player registration is due on or before 6/9; U10/U12 player registration is due on or before 6/8, U13-U19 player registration is due on or before 6/7
2. Bring $10 cash to purchase a numbered tryout T-shirt to be worn during both tryouts and which candidates may keep upon completion.
GOALIES U12 and up only - U12 and up Goalies should sign up at the goalie table for special identification.
U12 and up Goalies will be pulled out for a special goalie session during their age bracket’s regularly scheduled tryout time.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to session for registration and warm-ups.
NOTE - CIAC rules disallow high school soccer team players to play for other soccer clubs in the fall.
