Welcome to the 2010 SHSGS Gaelettes Captain's Corner


With your help, we are striving to be one of the elite girls soccer programs in our conference and across the state.  We believe that can be achieved, which is why our 2010 Captains, Melissa, Alex, Danica and Sonali selected the three words above for our team motto.

2009 SCC All-Housatonic team

Shelton Player Recognition

Senior Captains Allison Ferro and Jennifer Spicer, along with Junior Alexandra Farley have been named to the 2009 All-Housatonic Division Team of the Southern Connecticut Conference.  This is Jen's third consecutive All-Housy selection and the first for both Allie and Alex.  The three Gaelettes selected to the team are the most in recent memory and only fall second to Cheshire, who had four girls selected to the team. 

Congatulations to Allie, Jen and Alex!

Gaelettes senior Jennifer Spicer was honored by the Greater New Haven Soccer Officials' Association on November 7th, when she was given the Whitey Piurek Award for being their Outstanding Female Player of 2009.  Jen was honored at the GNHSOA's annual banquet held at the Country House in New Haven.  Along with Jen, Kevin Howard from Amity was named the Boys Outstanding Player.  The boys team from Derby won the team sportsmanship award.  The Foran High School girls team won the Female Team Sportsmanship Award.
