Shelton Youth Soccer Organization is proud to open enrollment for our Spring 2026 Recreation season. The Inter CT FC Coaching team will provide centralized coaches at all the practices to lead the soccer curriculum and demonstrate proper techniques.
Volunteer Parent Coaches are still needed to provide lineup/substitution management for their respective teams to lead the Saturday games.
Players will develop their social and motor skills while learning to become comfortable dribbling and kicking the ball. As the players mature to grade school levels, they will learn passing, positioning, and using more technique as opposed to raw athleticism. Players who excel here at ages 7+ will be encouraged to join our Academy or Travel program to help further their skills.
Players will practice with their team once per week, on the same night each week (Mon-Thu) throughout the season at East Village Park. Subject to the registration demand and night preferences (last question of registration) SYSO will make at least 2-4 nights available for practice for each league to promote the kids training together.
All regularly scheduled games will be played on Saturdays starting between approximately 8:15-11:00am. Times will vary each week, SYSO tries to balance the early and late start times amongst the teams. Game locations are anticipated to be played at Elizabeth Shelton School for Leagues 1-2, Capewell Park for Leagues 3-4, and Nike Site for League 5.
SYSO anticipates leagues to be created with the age profiles listed within registration, however this is subject to change based on enrollment.

4/25: Saturday AM 1st Gameday
6/1-6/5: Last week of practices (team ice cream parties)
6/13: Last Game (this is the 8th gameday, we will play a minimum of 7 games. 6/8-6/12 weeknights to be used if many rainouts)
